November 29, 2006 It's a Reading. Come out next Tuesday, December 5th, for a reading of my feature screenplay La Perdida. The script is still a work-in-progress, and I'm looking for feedback. We've lined up a great cast, and a great director, Stephen Gerald, fron the University's Theater & Dance department. - mig

July 17, 2006 Call Time. Casting is now in progress for a thirty second PSA spot for the Organization of American States. We are searching for the following:
MID 20s AFRO-CARIBBEAN WOMAN
9 YEAR-OLD GIRL, any ethnicity
All positions are unpaid, but a copy of the spot will be provided. Shoot is scheduled for ONE half day in early to mid August (date to be determined). Parents: Feel free to visit the Projects page for examples of previous work with minors.

April 17, 2006 Aww hell, Hollywood. Looks like I'll be making my first trip to Los Angeles in late May. The University of Texas' Radio-TV-Film department selected Tadpoles for their 2006 Hollywood Showcase. Apparently it's a big deal because I was sent an email urging me to limit myself to one drink at the business casual reception. Heh, should be interesting. Anyways, May 24th at the DGA Theater in Hollywood. I'll be in town for five days. Give me a shout if ya want to hang out. - mig

April 15, 2006 It's Cine time. The 9th Cine Las Americas Film Festival starts this week here in Austin. They usually have a good slate of films from Central and South America (as well as the States). They'll be screening Tadpoles twice on Saturday, April 22nd (2:00pm at the Regal Metropolitan and 5:00pm at the Millenium Youth Entertainment Complex). I'm pretty much a regular at the fest, so come watch some films and then buy me a drink at one of the many fine parties Eugenio and the gang are hosting throughout the week. - mig

March 9, 2006 More Tadpoles. So it turns out Tadpoles will be screening at the South by Southwest Film Festival as part of the NALIP showcase. So if you're in town, go watch my film at the Hideout (617 Congress) on Sunday, March 12, at 5pm. If anything, you'll see what I spent my last Spring Break doing. - mig
